Olá a todos, espero-vos bem!
Costumam fazer as vossas bebidas vegetais?
Deixem arrefecer a água.

Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well!
Do you usually make your own plant-based drinks? If so, what are your favorites at home? Our favorites are almond milk and cashew milk. For those who are concerned about the lack of protein, in these types of homemade drinks, you can always add pea protein, for example, which is already available in several places.

For those who are concerned about the lack of protein, in these types of homemade drinks, you can always add pea protein, for example, which is already available in several places.
To make the plant-based drink, you will need:
100g of cashews
3 pitted medjool dates
1 liter of water
Additional water for soaking
Preparation in the Thermomix®:
Place the cashews and dates in a bowl, cover with water, and let them soak for about 6 hours.

Drain the water from the cashews and set aside. Place 1 liter of water in the mixing bowl and heat for 5 minutes/100°C/speed 1. Let the water cool (remove the mixing bowl from the base to speed up the process), add the soaked cashews, and blend for 1 minute/speed 10.
You can either pour the mixture directly into a bottle/jar and store it in the refrigerator as is, or strain it through a fine cloth in the basket into a bottle/jar. Squeeze the cloth well to extract all the liquid.
Traditional preparation:
Place the cashews and dates in a bowl, cover with water, and let them soak for about 6 hours.
Drain the water from the cashews and set aside. Place 1 liter of water in a saucepan and heat until boiling. Let the water cool.
In a blender, pour the boiled water, add the soaked cashews, and blend until smooth.
Due to the technology of the Thermomix®, it may be difficult to achieve the same consistency in a blender, so I recommend straining it through a fine cloth into a bottle/jar. Squeeze the cloth well to extract all the liquid.
TIPS:
I like to use boiled water, however, you can find several recipes where room temperature water is used.
When using the Bimby®, the water should be cold/slightly warm to use speed 10. If it's hot, do not exceed speed 7.
You can choose not to add dates, resulting in a neutral drink that you can use not only for beverages but also for sauces and desserts.
